Coastal Thrivers Annual T-Shirt Contest 


  • Students in grade 9-12 and adults are eligible to submit a design for Coastal Thrivers Annual T-shirt Contest.

  • A small entrance fee of $10.00 is requested. Entrance fees can be mailed via check with printed Application to Coastal Thrivers Corporation P.O. Box 502 Pismo Beach, CA 93433 or paid with card or cash in person during Outings or Events. If you pay on this website via PayPal ADD $3.00, for a total of $13.00 to cover transaction fees. The more artist participates in the event, the more it will increase the winner’s cash prizes. All design submissions must be original artwork. You can create the design with whatever medium you like, for example, you can paint, draw, etc. You can even create a digital image if you prefer to work on a computer. Caution to any mixed media that does not convert well to the silk screening process.

  • Designs need to fit within 7.5" x 9.5" mat for art show. (either portrait or landscape orientation) Please attach your information with an 8.5 x 11 PDF letter. Design must incorporate the Coastal Thrivers themes: Thrivers, Thrivers from Sexual Abuse, Plumeria flower, Pearls, Beach, Running, Community, Racing, Health, Outdoor Recreation, and San Luis Obispo County

  • Submissions must include the year (2021) somewhere in the design

  • We recommend using colors that pop and sticking to no more than Three to five colors

  • Designs must be RECEIVED by the deadline Monday, November 2nd, 2020.

How to Submit:

  • Scan and send a .PDF or .JPG of your art work to CoastalThrivers@gmail.com and put in the Subject Line, “T-Shirt Art Contest.”

  • Make sure to include your filled-out APPLICATION and return page 2 & 3 on one sheet of paper or in a PDF document.

  • (if under the age of 18 and art was designed during class time; provide school, grade, art teacher's name, parent’s phone number, and parent’s email address) All entries treated equally.


1st Place: $100 Plus your design on event T-shirt with a free race entry

2nd Place: $60 with a free race entry

3rd Place: $40 with a free race entry

Deadline:  Monday, November 2nd, 2020 12:00 P.M.

  • The board of Directors will select the best 10 submissions.

  • Top ten applicants will be contacted to prepare their

       art for Art Show Display.

  • Top selected 10 submissions are considered as donations

       to Coastal Thrivers Corporation and will be used for

       promotion purposes or fund raising to help facilitate

       activities for survivors and Thrivers.

  • Art Show Display will be during Coastal Thrivers Monthly Meeting Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 where winners will be voted on and announced. All registered members have a vote.

  • All original framed art work must be submitted 2 weeks before Coastal Thrivers Monthly Meeting (Location to be announced.) Black or white 11"X 14" frame with the opposite, white or black mat size 7.5" x 9.5" actual t-shirt size required. Name and contact info attached to the back of the picture frame in an open envelope.
